Screen Goes Black On Both Sides When Connected To TV
If you connect your component cables directly to your TV, do you get a picture from your PS/3? Any picture I get lasts for only a split second on both sides. Your PR department should be really proud! Life is good! In particular, if it says, "No Signal," what color is the message, green, or red? The PS/3 outputs HDCP on the HDMI cable (copy protection) so you need to use Component (Red, Green, Blue) cables between the PS/3 and the RGC device.

I followed the instructions on every video on YouTube and I'm still getting same result as before I bought it. Make sure you don't let the PS/3 auto-detect the output device. Today, I bought an HD Component Audio & Video Cable from GameStop. but we know a LOT more than we did.

You're using HDMI cables from the PS/3 to the RGC, and then from the RGC to the TV. As part of that setup, you need to ensure that the PS/3 output is set to a specific setting, and nothing higher than 1080i at 60fps, or 1080p at 30fps.
