Hard Drive Disappears Until Reboot
All of my media is on my secondary drive, which is my F drive. All it does is write at a text file on your HDD. I keep all drivers locally stored on an external drive and check about once a month for newer ones. I've waited as long as 30 mins but it never shows up.

This has perplexed me for over 2 months. But when you wake up, it doesn't spin up fast enough (my theory) or power to that port doesn't get sent... Not even in software like AIDA64. What about the sata cables, checked/replaced those? I have temporarily resolved the problem by disabling sleep mode but would like to re-enable it for power saving purposes. My Seagate Barracuda has it's own sleep mode, for example. Possible as ODD usually requires more power to work, but less or same while spinning up as HDD.
