I tried setting up a password to access UEFI, as I've heard that will unlock all options, but it didn't. Some will boot from CSM in UEFI mode if boot files are in efi partition and if not then look in MBR to boot in BIOS mode. Once the SSD has been cleaned, apartition created, has been formatted , and been made active then there shouldn'd be an issue using it as theprimary disk in a notebook. navigate here

I can change the boot mode from UEFI to Legacy BIOS and that disables secure boot, but in Legacy mode I can't do what I'm trying to.
